Gangnam MICE Tourism District
Gangnam MICE Tourism District is a convention, exhibition, and shopping complex covering COEX, Samsung-dong, and Bongeunsa. MICE stands for Meeting, Incentive, Convention, Exhibition; it is Seoul's premier business and tourism hub for large international events.
The area grew rapidly in the early 2000s with COEX Mall and Samsung-dong business district. ASEM, G20, and K-pop and film-related exhibitions and fan meetings are held here, drawing continuous flows of international visitors and business travelers.
COEX Mall—one of the largest underground malls in Korea—aquarium, cinema, and convention center are all in one place, attracting meeting attendees, tourists, and shoppers. Adjacent to Samsung-dong and Teheran-ro, commuters and leisure visitors keep real-time population high.
