Sadang Station

Sadang Station is a major transfer for Lines 2 and 4 in Sadang-dong, Dongjak-gu. Southern belt, Gangnam, Seocho, and Gwanak commute, school, and shopping traffic concentrate here.

History & background

It opened with Line 2 in 1984 and became a transfer station when Line 4 was added in 1985. Sadang-ro and the southern belt meet; universities and housing are dense, so foot traffic is always high.

Why it's famous

Transfer traffic is among the highest in the country. Station-area shopping, restaurants, and academies overlap; real-time population is very high at rush hours, lunch, and dinner.

Subway Lines 2·4 Sadang Station. City and express bus to Sadang Station and Sadang-ro. Walking to Sadang-dong and southern belt commercial area.
