Samgakji Station

Samgakji Station is a transfer for Lines 4 and 6 in Namitaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu. It connects to Yongsan Base, Itaewon, Hannam, and Yongridan-gil; commuters, tourists, and diners pass through.

History & background

It opened with Line 4 in 1985 and became a transfer station when Line 6 was added in 2000. Yongsan, Itaewon, and Hannam development and tourism have increased foot traffic.

Why it's famous

Transfer and access to Itaewon, Hannam, and Yongridan-gil draw weekday commuters and weekend tourists and restaurant visitors. Real-time population is especially high on weekend evenings.
