Seoul Station

Seoul Station is Seoul's main rail and transfer hub where Lines 1 and 4, Gyeongui-Jungang, KTX, and AREX meet. Long-distance and regional commuters, airport users, and tourists converge 24 hours.

History & background

It opened as Gyeongseong Station in 1900; KTX (2004), AREX (2007), and Gyeongui-Jungang (2014) made it a multi-modal hub. The express bus terminal moved here in 2023, adding bus traffic.

KTX, AREX, subways, and buses converge; nationwide, metro, and airport users pass through. Real-time population stays among the highest at rush hours, year-end, and vacation seasons.
