Yeoksam Station is on Line 2 in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, adjacent to Teheran-ro and Gangnam finance and IT districts. Commute, lunch, and meeting traffic are very heavy.

History & background

It opened with Line 2 in 1982. From the 1990s Teheran-ro and Gangnam-daero business districts expanded and commute and lunch traffic surged; station-area restaurants and cafes keep foot traffic high.

Why it's famous

At the center of Gangnam business district; weekday rush, lunch, and evening meeting crowds concentrate. Real-time population stays among the highest for Gangnam-area stations.

Transport & access

Subway Line 2 Yeoksam Station. City bus to Yeoksam and Teheran-ro. Walking to Teheran-ro and Gangnam-daero.
