Chungjeongno Station

Chungjeongno Station is a transfer for Lines 2 and 5 in Chungjeongno, Seodaemun-gu. Government, National Assembly, US Embassy, Seoul Station, and Yeouido commute and business traffic concentrate here.

History & background

It opened with Line 2 in 1984 and became a transfer station when Line 5 was added in 1996. Chungjeongno, Jeong-dong, and Seoul Station are within walking distance; commute and business visitors are always many.

Why it's famous

Transfer and access to government, National Assembly, and diplomatic missions draw weekday commute and business crowds. Lunch and dinner station-area restaurants and cafes raise real-time population.

Subway Lines 2·5 Chungjeongno Station. City bus to Chungjeongno and Jeong-dong. Walking to Jeong-dong, Seoul Station, Yeouido.
