Hapjeong Station

Hapjeong Station is a transfer for Lines 2 and 6 in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu. It is within walking distance of Hongdae, Mangwon, Yeonnam-dong, and Sangsu; shopping, dining, dating, and tourism traffic are very heavy.

History & background

It opened with Line 2 in 1984 and became a transfer station when Line 6 was added in 2000. In the 2010s Hapjeong station-area cafes and restaurants expanded and foot traffic surged.

Why it's famous

Transfer and access to Hongdae, Mangwon, and Yeonnam draw young people and tourists on weekends and evenings. Real-time population is especially high on weekend evenings.

Subway Lines 2·6 Hapjeong Station. City bus to Hapjeong and Mangwon. Walking to Hongdae, Mangwon, Yeonnam-dong.
