Gangseo Hangang Park

Gangseo Hangang Park is a section of Hangang Park on the south bank in Gaehwa-dong and Banghwa-dong, Gangseo-gu. Adjacent to Gimpo Airport and Magok; cycling, walking, and picnic traffic are heavy; real-time population is high on weekends and in spring and autumn.

History & background

After the Han River comprehensive development, the Gangseo section was developed as Hangang Park; in the 2000s bicycle paths, walkways, and lawns were added.

Why it's famous

Riverside cycling, walking, picnics, and proximity to Gimpo Airport draw outing crowds. Real-time population is high on weekends and in fine spring and autumn weather.

Transport & access

Subway Line 5 Banghwa and Gaehwasan. City bus to Gangseo Hangang Park and Gaehwa-dong. Bicycle and walk to Han River bicycle path.
