Nanji Hangang Park

Nanji Hangang Park is a section of Hangang Park along the river in Sangam-dong and Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu. Connected to Nanji Campground, lawns, bicycle path, and World Cup Park; camping, picnic, and walking traffic are heavy.

History & background

Nanji Island, once a landfill, was parkified through Han River improvement and environmental restoration; in 2002 World Cup Park and Nanji Campground were created.

Why it's famous

Camping, lawns, cycling, and World Cup Park in one place; weekend and spring/autumn outing crowds flock. Real-time population is very high on fine days.

Transport & access

Subway Line 6 Mangwon and Sangam. City bus to Nanji Hangang Park and Nanji Campground. On foot and bicycle to World Cup Park and Han River bicycle path.
