Hongje Waterfall

Hongje Waterfall is a valley, waterfall, and trail section in Hongje-dong, Seodaemun-gu. In the upper Hongje Stream; cool summer outing and walking demand is high; weekend hikers and walkers flock.

History & background

Hongje-dong valley waterfall and forest have long been known; in the 2000s trails and rest facilities were improved, making it western Seoul's rest course.

Why it's famous

Waterfall, valley, and walking in one place; summer and weekend outing crowds flock. Real-time population is high in summer.

Transport & access

Subway Line 3 Muakjae and Hongje. City bus to Hongje Waterfall and Hongje-dong. On foot to Hongje Stream and trails.
